12 Ukrainian film and TV projects presented at the Berlinale
Odesa International Film Festival, which was organized as an associated event of the European Film Market, took place within the Berlinale, Derzhkino reports.
During the pitching, 12 projects at the "pre-production" stage were presented: Feature film "The Golden Lion on Ivan Kupala", LLC "Illenko Film Productions" (dir. Valentyn Vasyanovych, Volodymyr Yatsenko) The feature film "Ukraine – is the Capital of Great Britain" by the Family Production company (directed by Antonina Noyabrova, produced by Anastasia Bukovska, Danylo Kaptyukh) TV series "40 Days of Love", UKRKINO / MOREFILM company (dir. Maksym Nakonechnyi, producer Olga Zhurzhenko) The series "The Girl from Tallinn", the Ukrainian company FILM.UA and the Estonian Zolba (dir. Ilmar Raag, prod. Olesya Lukyanenko, Kateryna Vishnevska, Yevhenii Supin) Puzzle series by the Cinema Directory (dir. Lana Shapoval, producer Ihor Savichenko) Documentary project "Queen of Joy" by Quatros Group (directed by Olga Gibelinda, produced by Ivanna Khitsinska) Documentary project "Omelkova hut / Guests from Kharkiv" company Eleron Pictures (dir. Galina Lavrynets, producer Oleksandra Bratyshchenko) Documentary project "Listening to the World" by the TABOR film company (dir. Elizaveta Smith, producer: Olga Beshmelnytsina, Yevgen Rachkovsky) Documentary project "Shadows" of the Modern Ukrainian Cinema company (dir. Polina Kelm, producer Valeriya Sochivets) The participation of Ukrainian productions at the Berlin Film Market took place with the support of the USAID Program "Competitive Economy of Ukraine". The project is implemented in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut. The Berlin International Film Festival began on February 16 and will continue until February 26. President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the participants of the opening ceremony of the film festival. This year, Ukraine will present six films at the Berlinale: the full-length feature films "Iron Butterflies" by Roman Lyuboy and "Do You Love Me?" Toni Noyabrova, documentaries "Waking up in Silence" by Mila Zhluktenko and Daniel Asadi Faezi, "We Will Not Go Out" by Alisa Kovalenko and "Eastern Front" by Vitaly Manskyi and Yevhen Tytarenko, as well as the short feature debut of Nadiia Parfan "This Date" . In addition, a special out-of-competition event of this year's Berlin International Film Festival was the premiere of the documentary about Ukraine by American film directors Sean Penn and Aaron Kaufman "Superpower". The festival will also present the trailer and the first three novellas of the almanac "War Through the Eyes of Animals", in the production of which Ukrainian cinematographers participate. RELATED
