Croatian Nova TV celebrates success of Hungarian remake of Pure Love
The series Hazatalálsz (Homecoming), a Hungarian adaptation of the Croatian series Pure Love, distributed by United Media, launched on TV2 on January 23 and in the first weeks of broadcasting it achieved great success, Nova TV Croatia reports. In addition to great acceptance by viewers, the success of the adaptation is confirmed by the fact that the series is 28% more watched than its first competitor in the same slot.
Hazatalálsz takes place in a small fictional town called Farkasliget, a few hundred kilometers from Budapest. Two men, both raised in an orphanage, reunite as their life paths accidentally cross and they fall in love with the same woman. One of them is a criminal and the other is a failed policeman who returns to his hometown to start a new life. The series lures viewers to the screens with a superb cast which features young talents and established actors. In addition, the episodes are filmed in real locations, not in constructed sets, which is the special feature of the series. Hazatalálsz is the third successful adaptation of an original Nova TV series on the Hungarian market. Previous adaptations of Nova TV/United Media series include No Matter What (Our Little Village for RTL) and At the Border (The Godmother for RTL), and the fourth announced adaptation, again for RTL, is going to be the series Best Men (Kumovi/The Godparents), which is the most watched series of domestic production in 2022 and right now in 2023 in Croatia.
