StarlightMedia and Gaumont have started filming their new jointly produced series The Transporter (original title: Перевізниця) which will be distributed internationally as In Her Car. On Friday, March 17, Starlight Media, together with Gaumont, began filming of the series which will take place in Kyiv and the region, SLM announced.

The main role in the series will be played by the Ukrainian actress Anastasia Karpenko, who won best acting performance at the International Film Festival in Locarno (2022). Ukrainian viewers will see the premiere of the series on the STB TV channel in 2024. The showrunner of the project is Yevhen Tunik.
The series In her Car is a 10-episode drama based on the real events of the first weeks of the Russian Federation's full-scale war against Ukraine. She tells the story of a Ukrainian woman who worked as a psychologist, but changed her profession during the war.

"In the days when millions of Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes, she remains in the country and becomes a carrier. Every passenger in her car undergoes a kind of therapy before reaching their destination," says the press release.

During the European Film Market 2023 in Berlin, the German team of global studio Gaumont (EFM) assembled an alliance of one private and eight public European broadcasters to finance and co-produce the Ukrainian drama series "In her car".

"We are happy," says Christophe Riandee, Vice-CEO of Gaumont , "that our global group structure with operating offices in the main European markets allows us to act as a 'one-stop shop' for our television partners across the continent. This allows us to establish international co-production and financing, without which such special and relevant series probably could not be created now. And we look forward to new international co-production projects created by our European teams."

In addition to In Her Car, the media group is also working on the pre-production of several other series that have won the support of foreign partners. These projects will be announced soon.
