United Media renews UEFA football rights for Slovenia
United Media, a leading media company in southeast Europe, announced a new multi-year contract for the rights to broadcast the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League on Sport Klub channel in Slovenia.
In the coming years, viewers will be able to continue to watch exclusively live matches of UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League – three most prestigious club football competitions in Europe, featuring some of the best teams and players in the world. The new contract also secures co-exclusive rights to broadcast UEFA Champions League Finals and UEFA Super Cup. From 2024/25 season, the new format of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League will come into force, in which 36 teams will play in the league stage, with a greater number of guaranteed matches in the league stage, from which the best eight will secure placement in the knockout stage. This means that the audience will have more matches to watch the European football giants. The UEFA Youth League is also part of the new deal. “I am thrilled that we have secured the rights to continue broadcasting those impressive football competitions until 2027. This is a significant achievement for us and cements Sport Klub’s position as the most prestigious sports channel in Slovenia. Our unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality sports content to our viewers is reflected in this agreement, and we believe that it will enhance the viewing experience for our audience even further,” stated Nemanja Simeunović, CEO of Sport Klub. Sport Klub viewers can look forward to the matches from the Slovenian football league Prva liga Telemach, other domestic sports competitions, Formula 1 races, the continuation of the FIBA World Cup basketball qualifications, the Euroleague and Eurocup, and also ATP and WTA tennis tournaments, Davis Cup and Wimbledon. Sport Klub is available via Telemach, Total TV and other operators, as well as EON platform. RELATED
