Passion Distribution announces factual sales across CEE #NATPEBudapest
In the week of NATPE Budapest, Passion Distribution has licensed over 160 hours of factual programming across CEE. Sales include Elizabeth: A Life Through the Lens (1 x 60’) in Poland and Slovakia, Dinosaur With Stephen Fry (4 x 60’) in Poland, and One Hour That Changed the World: Moon Landing (1 x 60’) in Czechia.
In Poland, Polsat has acquired a package of factual programming including royal documentary Elizabeth: A Life Through the Lens (1 x 60’) which takes a look back at the reign of Elizabeth II, and how she handled a life on screen. The documentary was produced by Unity House and aired on Channel 4. Dinosaur With Stephen Fry (4 x 60’) is the exhilarating documentary series, that chronologically tells the definitive story of 165 million from the dawn of the dinosaurs to their extinction. The series was produced by Mentorn Media and Kremplewood for Channel 5. Other sales include documentary series S Secrets of the Superfactories S1-S2 (16 x 60’) produced by Pioneer Productions and The Machinery of War (6 x 60’) from Wildbear Entertainment. Additional sales in Poland include Kino Polska TV acquiring Beyond Our Earth (6 x 60’) produced by Wildbear Entertainment, World's Deadliest S1 (13 x 60’) from Back2Back Productions, Planes Gone Viral (8 x 60’) produced by Pioneer Productions and Criminally Funny (40 x 60’) produced by Workerbee for Comedy Central. Kino Polska TV has also picked up entertainment series’ Dynamo: Magician Impossible S3-S4 (8 x 60’) and special Dynamo: A-Z (1 x 60’) from Phil McIntyre Television and Inner Circle Films. TV JOJ in Slovakia have acquired a package of royal and history programming for their CS History, CS Mystery and JOJ PLAY channels. Sales include Elizabeth: A Life Through the Lens produced by Unity House and Before They Were Royal (4 x 60’) produced by ITN Productions for Channel 5. TV JOJ has also acquired historical documentary series The Great Plague (3 x 60’) produced by Voltage TV and Motion Content Group for Channel 5 and Jack the Ripper - The Definitive Story (2 x 60’) produced by Bulls Eye Lantern for Channel 5. In Czechia, Prima has licensed a package of science programming including One Hour That Changed the World: Moon Landing (1 x 60’), How The Universe Works S2 (8 x 60’) and Secrets of the Superfactories S2 (8 x 60’) all produced by Pioneer Productions. Further titles include Beyond Our Earth (6 x 60’) and Future Warfare (4 x 60’) both from Wildbear Entertainment and Architecture the Railways Built S3-S4 (20 x 10’) produced by Brown Bob for UKTV.
