Creative producer, writer, storyteller, stage performer and content provider Elif Dagdeviren is the new managing partner of Calinos Films, the production company of Calinos Group.

As a globally awarded producer and multi-tasking entrepreneur, Elif Dagdeviren will be responsible for the creative process of all the productions and manage the international co-production projects which will be signed by Calinos Films, the company said in a release.

“My biggest dream is to share Anatolia’s 12.000 years of myths, legends, stories with the world through the strongest tool, which is production. Calinos Films is almost the only international film company that shared the same vision besides all the network it has that respect the brand all over the world. So this is like a dream come true that we will be producing awesome stories together for the world to see. That is why I chose Calinos Films as my new visionary family,” Elif Dagdeviren, the new managing partner of Calinos Films, summarized her feelings.

Starting her professional life in the university as a TV serials translator, Elif Dagdeviren became a journalist ranging from reporter to editor-in-chief in magazines (Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, etc.). She worked as a columnist, reporter, and interviewer in various principal magazines and newspapers in Turkey. She also hosted her television programs, moderated, and produced several TV programs on mainstream TV channels.

Deciding to continue her journalism profession in new media, she became the founding partner and CEO of netbul.com in 1998, one of Turkey's first internet portals and left the company by accomplishing the first national internet content company exit case. After selling Netbul, she continued her career with Hermes Films she founded in 2005. She became one of the significant film producers in Turkey and produced television programs, arthouse, and box office films including Turkey's Oscar nominee movie Ice Cream I Scream. She also directed her own short film called Russian Roulette in 2009. As a storyteller, writer and stage performer, she donates her time as a lecturer on filmmaking, production, journalism, and communication skills at various universities and educational institutions.
