You read it first! Fremantle confirms Password deals in Greece and Hungary
Fremantle announced last week that its popular gameshow Password will be adapted in Greece (Alpha TV), Hungary (TV2), Israel (Reshet), Mexico (TV Azteca, reported earlier by TVBIZZ) and Slovakia (TV JOJ).
CEETV readers first read about the upcoming Greek and Hungarian adaptations of the format in April this year. In both countries, the show is expected to make its debut this fall. JOJ has not yet announced its plans for the Slovak remake which aired on the channel between 2017 and 2019. The word association game, which first launched on CBS in 1961, sees captains and contestants try to guess their teammates’ passwords with the help of one-word clues. The most recent U.S. version, starring Keke Palmer and Jimmy Fallon, launched last year on NBC and quickly became one of the network’s most popular shows. RELATED
