All3Media plays Lingo in Greece and Turkey #MIPCOM
All3Media International announced today two new licensing deals for the classic word game format Lingo in Greece and Turkey.
In Turkey, TRT has commissioned a 60-part first season, produced by Shine Medya whilst Greek free-to-air channel Star Channel has ordered a 20-part series, with both adaptations set to premiere in 2024. Stephen Driscoll, EVP EMEA and European Co-Productions, said: “We are thrilled with the latest productions of our hit format Lingo for TRT Turkey by Shine Medya and Star Channel Greece who will launch in 2024. Both broadcasters have made long running commissions for this highly entertaining format with broad audience appeal. These new productions add to a significant uptick in deals on this format in 2023 as Lingo continues to grow its footprint around the world. A definitive word play gameshow format that is internationally beloved, Lingo pits teams against each other in a battle to find words and win big cash prizes. Offering huge entertainment value, Lingo is a ratings winning hit on ITV in UK, recently commissioned for a fourth season. The word play format has also aired for 29 years in France and over 500 episodes aired in the US. Lingo is an All3Media / IDTV and Talpa TV format, distributed by All3Media International. RELATED
