Starlight Media to sell Latvian kids format Little Mula globally
As part of the ninth MIA Market 2023 in Italy, Hanna Pyrih, Head of Formats at Starlight Media, presented the unique format for children Little Mula at the screening of the International Factual Forum.
'For the channels and platforms, this format can be a fantastic opportunity to connect with the brands of the best museums in the world, country, or particular region. Another advantage is that the Little Mula format could be a jam project for fundraising from different Creative Support Programs because of the popularization of local art and art in general,' said Hanna Pyrih, Head of Formats at Starlight Media. Mula is a pretty little girl. She's 10 years old, and she loves museums and investigations. Strange things occur in Mula's favorite museum – some parts of the best museum's masterpieces have disappeared. Every episode of Little Mula is a self-contained story where Mula, along with her cartoon friend Cat, go inside one of the museum's paintings. There, Mula explores the story behind its creation and brings back the lost part of it. 'This project shows kids how borderless and inspiring the world of art is. They learn to understand and enjoy it through these simple, creative stories. It develops the audience's interest in visual art and inspires families to indulge in creative freedom. We also noticed that our storytelling technique for this format encourages children to find their unique vision and develop creative thinking and problem-solving.' – commented Daina Gāga Ēķe, the format's creator. The original series Little Mula (Māza Mula) was ordered by the Latvian VOD platform TET+ with two seasons available for screening online and the third season in development. RELATED
