Ukraine's Suspilne joins EGTA
Ukraine’s pubcaster Suspilne became a member of EGTA — an international non-profit association of television and radio sales houses — in order to develop international cooperation and increase the company's potential in the field of television and radio advertising sales, the public broadcaster announced on its website.
EGTA includes representatives of 172 organizations from European countries: 105 — television and 67 — radio. EGTA members are sales houses that sell advertising space on private and public television and radio channels in the European region and beyond. This includes both large companies operating in large markets and mid-sized companies in smaller markets. EGTA aims to help its members to protect, develop and diversify the business related to advertising content broadcasted on television channels and radio stations. "Membership in EGTA for Suspilne is another important step towards integration into leading international media organizations. We appreciate the support of our partners and thank you for the offer to join the association for free," commented Andriy Taranov, a member of the board of Suspilne responsible for marketing. "With the support of the EGTA leadership, Suspilne received an excellent free opportunity during the war to test itself as a member of this international organization, to learn important information for its development, and to share its own plans and developments in the field of media research and advertising activities. In general, it is nice to realize that the international presence of the Society, including through membership in international industry organizations, is developing and strengthening," added Tetiana Siruk , deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation of Suspilne. Benefits of egta membership include: assistance and support of companies' activities regarding the monetization of audio and/or audiovisual content with the help of advertising solutions; informing about trends, research, publications and technical means and achievements that have a direct and indirect impact on advertising activity; formation of an effective system based on data and research; access to information from various member organizations in order to compare and provide ready-made solutions and best practices; network activity: active cooperation with more than 1,200 heads of advertising departments and more than 2,000 experts in the advertising and media industry; representing the interests of Public Broadcasting by applying to European institutions about common positions and views; obtaining professional experience and necessary information by employees of Suspilne regarding the requirements of national and European legislation regarding television and radio advertising.
