Russian troops shell another TV tower in Ukraine
Russian troops shelled a television tower in Bilopillia (Sumy oblast) on May 6. The TV tower was damaged by the strike and is currently disabled, reported a representative of the Institute of Mass Information.
The video of the impact of the strike was uploaded to Russian propaganda channels on Telegram. The occupiers reported hitting the tower with high-explosive aerial bombs-500 (FAB). "Footage of enemy objects' loss: a cell tower, an army deployment point, an elevator with an electronic warfare system installed, a warehouse with ammunition, and a substation," the Russians wrote. The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on the extent of the damage. On March 14, 2024, the Russian troops shelled the largest TV and radio transmitters in Sumy oblast: in Bilopillia, Sumy, Shostka, and Trostianets. MX-1 and MX-2 broadcasting in Bilopillia was resumed in early April. RELATED
