Former 1+1 exec to develop reality and entertainment shows at United Media
United Media, the leading media company in Southeast Europe, announced the appointment of Olga Slisarenko as Head of Reality and Entertainment Format Development.
From 2016 to 2023, she led the Entertainment Programs and Format Department at 1+1 Media in Kyiv, where she managed high-profile shows like The Voice and Dancing with the Stars, UM said in a release. “I warmly welcome Olga to the United Media team. Our vision is to establish United Media as a key player in the format business across the SEE, becoming a hub for original and innovative entertainment shows. We aim to build a diverse portfolio of long-running reality and entertainment programs that not only entertain but also enrich the cultural and social fabric of each country. I believe that Olga’s experience and expertise will significantly contribute to achieving our goals swiftly,” said George Makris, United Media Programming Director. Reality and entertainment programs are crucial for television viewership, driving engagement and attracting diverse audiences. These programs not only entertain but also reflect and shape cultural and social narratives, making them vital components of a successful television line up.
