Fifteen to One celebrates 30th anniversary in Poland
 03 Jun 2024
Fifteen to One, the ultimate game of knowledge, strategy and nerve, celebrates its 30th Anniversary on TVP1 in Poland today, June 3, All3Media International announces in a press release.

Known locally as Jeden z dziesięciu, this high-tension, hugely entertaining and strategic quiz format is the longest running quiz show in Poland where it has aired continuously since 1994 on Polish national television broadcaster TVP1. This milestone anniversary also marks the 30th year presenter Tadeusz Sznuk will host the show with confirmation that he will also be back to present the upcoming 51st series.

Ben Packwood, VP CEE at All3Media International, commented, “Jeden z dziesięciu has all the ingredients for a compelling quiz show- packed with great competition, fast paced, entertaining and filled with fascinating facts. However, it offers a deeper significance for Polish audiences as it reaches its 30th anniversary, source of trustworthiness and stability, which make it stand out in an ever changing media landscape. Little has changed since the first episode aired in 1994 with the iconic host Tadeusz Sznuk presenting the show across the last 3 decades and I feel confident Jeden z dziesięciu will continue on air for decades to come in Poland and beyond.”

In Jeden z dziesięciu, contestants strive to remain in the competition by answering questions correctly whilst also attempting to eliminate their opponents by forcing them to answer the questions instead. Each contestant has three lives – if they get a question wrong, they lose a life. Every time a contestant answers a question correctly they get to nominate who answers the next question. The contestants are eliminated one by one until just three are left. The brilliant, high-tension final sees these three players go head-to-head in a battle for survival by amassing as many points as possible.

Originally created by John M Lewis, the Fifteen to One format has proved its longevity with over 6.500 episodes produced around the world. In the UK it was on air for 45 seasons on Channel 4 and in Sweden it ran for 12 years on SVT2 with 1000 episodes produced in the territory. All3Media International represents the format globally.
