First free-to-air UHD channel launches in Estonia
Estonian viewers can now enjoy Museum TV in stunning UHD quality on free-to-air television. This channel, dedicated to art and galleries, is accessible on TVs supporting the 4K UHD format, DTT operator Levira announced.
“A new era in Estonian free-to-air broadcasting has begun with the launch of a channel offering crystal-clear picture quality. UHD is one of the most advanced formats in the television industry, and Levira is thrilled to lead the way in Estonia by providing this exceptional viewing experience. UHD delivers unparalleled detail, making it ideal for Museum TV, which brings the world’s top art masterpieces and events directly into viewers’ living rooms,” said Kristo Kaasan, Levira’s Technology and IT Director. Kaasan added that the test period will last at least six weeks, and viewers are encouraged to provide feedback on their viewing experience via Levira’s website. From July 1, in addition to Museum TV represented by Wide Media and Thema, Duo Media Networks' TV channels Kanal 2, Duo 4, Duo 5 and Kanal 7 are also offered free-to-air. This brings the total number of free-to-air channels to 11, including ETV, ETV2, ETV+, Ukraina 24, and France 24. RELATED
