Eccho Rights is excited to present the brand-new Turkish drama series Beneath the Surface to international buyers at MIPCOM, adding this title to its impressive lineup of premium Turkish series, the distributor announced.

Produced by Karga Seven Pictures for beIN Media Group-owned streaming platform TOD in Turkey & MENA, Beneath the Surface premiered earlier this October to rave reviews from both the Turkish and MENA press and public. According to TOD, the series, airing under the local title Sorgu, has become the platform’s most-streamed series to date.

The show stars one of Turkish drama’s most recognizable faces, Hazal Kaya, as police officer Cihan, who finds herself grappling with a professional and personal crisis when her father is murdered. Compounding her dilemma, she is prohibited from investigating his death herself. Cihan's growing romantic feelings for her colleague assigned to the case, Metin (played by Çağlar Ertuğrul), become even more complicated when Cihan’s sisters emerge as prime suspects.

In addition to Kaya and Ertuğrul, the cast of Beneath the Surface includes notable Turkish stars Melisa Döngel and Boncuk Yılmaz.

The series is written by Nuray Uslu and Milay Ezengin, directed by Deniz Yorulmazer, and produced by Karga Seven Pictures for TOD.
