Antenna Group confirms appointment of Henning Tewes as its new CEO
Antenna Group confirmed today that Henning Tewes is taking over as CEO of the company, effective January 1, 2025. In his new role, he will oversee all activities of the Group's companies, which include TV (free and pay), streaming services, cinemas, events, education, content, production, publishing, digital media, e-commerce, radio and music.
CEETV reminds that the first reports that the German executive will be the new CEO of Antenna Group appeared back in September, while we also reported in October that Tewes had already signed his contract with the Group. Today, his appointment was confirmed officially. Before joining Antenna, Tewes was a senior executive at RTL Group, where he led various companies and departments. His many years of experience are expected to strengthen Antenna's presence in the countries where it operates. Aiming at Antenna's continued growth, Henning Tewes will work with the Group's Advisory Board, whose members are executives drawn from global media and entertainment organizations. Specifically: Jim Gianopulos, former Chairman and CEO of 20th Century Fox and Paramount Pictures; Hans Holger Albrecht, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Superbet, former CEO and Member of the Board of Directors of Deezer, and former Chairman and CEO of Millicom; Marc DeBevoise, CEO of Brightcove and former CEO of CBS Interactive (now Paramount Streaming); Mike Lang, President of Lang Media Group, former CEO of Pixel United and Media Executive at Fox, Disney, Discovery and Universal Music Group; Patrick Steel, former CEO of Politico; Athan Stephanopoulos, former Chief Digital Officer of CNN; Darren Childs, former CEO of Premiership Rugby and UKTV; The international experience of the members of the Advisory Board combined with the expertise of Henning Tewes in the field of information and entertainment will significantly support the Group's activity, the focus of which is the responsible, authoritative and diverse information and entertainment of the public.
