LMT and Tet to offer Netflix bundles in Latvia
Latvian telcos LMT and Tet have started a partnership with Netflix.
The new packages of LMT will include one of the Netflix tiers -which the customer will be able to choose based on their entertainment content usage habits and preferences. LMT Vice President of Marketing and Business Development Ingmārs Pūķis pointed out that LMT continues to improve its offering to provide customers with a diverse and convenient service experience. In turn, Tet representatives indicate that Tet will in future offer customers to purchase Tet TV together with Netflix in one TV content package, rather than subscribing to them separately. The company's customers will be able to watch TV content in the same way as before - on Smart TVs, computers, tablets, smartphones and other streaming devices. However, since Netflix apps are not linked to Tet TV+ apps or Tet TV decoders, it will be necessary to use the Netflix app on the relevant device. “We are constantly working to ensure that viewers have access to not only the most exciting television content, but we are also thinking about how to make their everyday lives more convenient – so that the most diverse offer of television channels, films and series is available in one place. We are pleased that Tet has created one of such solutions in cooperation with Netflix. This will be a new friendship that is beneficial to everyone – viewers, TV content presenters and creators,” said Uldis Tatarčuks, Chairman of the Board of Tet. “We are pleased that our cooperation with Telia Group is expanding to include Tet and offering new and creative opportunities for our viewers in Latvia,” added Patrik Dankward, Head of Business Development for Netflix in the Nordics and Benelux.
