LRT campaign raises over a million euros for Ukraine in less than a week
Close to the third anniversary of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, Lithuania is holding the Radarom! solidarity campaign for the third time – raising one million euros in less than a week, the Lithuanian broadcaster LRT announced.
As of 7.30 on Monday, February 10, the Radarom! campaign had raised over one million euros – 1.037.170 euros. Two-thirds of the funds raised during the campaign will be directed towards the purchase of drones and anti-drones made in Lithuania, while the remaining third will be used to purchase equipment produced in Ukraine. The largest contributions came from AB Telia Lietuva and SBA Grupė, who joined the campaign in the first hours, NT Service, which donated 50 drones to Ukraine, the Lithuanian Association of Municipalities, Lonas, Brolis Semiconductors, Duvait, the Lithuanian Brewers' Guild, and Biuro mašinos. The solidarity campaign will run until February 24. In the previous two campaigns, businesses and citizens of the country donated a total of 22.8 million euros. This money was used to purchase 17 radars, 69 anti-drones, 4 special vehicles for mobile radars, and 1,141 sets of safety equipment for military personnel. RELATED
