The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) have agreed to deepen their media cooperation, further supporting the longstanding ties between Vietnam and Turkey, which span over 45 years. Since 2019, Turkey’s Asia Anew Initiative has boosted its engagement with Asian countries, including Vietnam, offering a strong platform for expanded bilateral collaboration. As active members of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), both broadcasters play a significant role in strengthening regional media partnerships.
TRT Director General Prof. Mehmet Zahid Sobacı , serving as the 61st President of ABU, expressed hope that VOV would continue supporting TRT in fulfilling the responsibilities effectively. He also highlighted TRT’s focus on digital development, including its own app Tabii, and its journalism academy, which trains around 13,000 students from 114 countries annually. During the meeting, VOV President Do Tien Sy confirmed VOV’s commitment to supporting TRT and shared insights into Vietnam’s efforts in administrative streamlining. Both organizations agreed to expand collaboration by promoting the cultural and socio-economic achievements of their respective countries. They emphasized greater cooperation in broadcasting, the exchange of audience engagement strategies, and mutual support in training, technology, and AI applications. RELATED
