![]() Latvian Flow scoops LUX Award
The LUX Audience Award ceremony took place last week at the European Parliament (EP), where Gints Zilbalodis’ animated film Flow won the competition among five films.
This year, the Greek film Animal, the French film Dahomey, the French/Ukrainian film Intercepted and the Belgian film Julie Zwijgt were in the running for the prize alongside Flow. The LUX Audience Award is now in its fifth year. The award goes to the film that receives the highest overall score from the public and MEPs (equal weighting of 50% for each category). Nearly 33.000 people took part in this vote. The LUX European Audience Film Award is organized by the European Parliament and the European Film Academy, in partnership with the Creative Europe sub-program “Media” and the Europa Cinemas network. This prize highlights the European Parliament’s commitment to promoting culture and education, supporting European cinema and encouraging cultural diversity. RELATED
