Antenna Group execs share perspectives on entertainment, leadership and distribution at NEM Dubrovnik
 12 Jun 2026
Antenna Group was represented across several key discussions at this year's NEM Dubrovnik, with senior executives contributing perspectives on the future of entertainment, media leadership and content distribution.

Representing the Group were Antenna Group CEO Henning Tewes, Henrik Schneider, General Manager of Antenna Entertainment CEE, and Caroline Hurmson, Senior Director of Acquisition, Sales and Content Strategy at Antenna Studios.

One of the headline sessions of this year's event was the keynote delivered by Henning Tewes, who argued that European media companies must rethink how they compete in an increasingly global entertainment landscape. "At Antenna Group, we believe success in entertainment comes from creating what we call 'gravity': the weight that draws audiences in and the attachment that brings them back again," he said. Tewes highlighted the need for greater scale through partnerships and consolidation, deeper audience engagement and a broader view of entertainment that extends beyond screens into experiences, live events and communities. He described Antenna Group's approach as one that combines local roots with regional scale, free reach with paid depth, and screens with real-life experiences.

The Group's perspective was further represented by Henrik Schneider during the leadership panel The Leader's Decision Making: Intuition vs. Strategy. Schneider argued that while AI and automation are becoming increasingly important across the media industry, technology investments must remain focused on creating growth opportunities alongside efficiency gains, while continuing to rely on human judgement and experience.

Antenna Entertainment currently operates a portfolio of 21 pay-TV channels across 12 markets in Central and Eastern Europe, serving approximately 24 million subscribers across the region.

Meanwhile, Caroline Hurmson joined industry leaders for the discussion The Hybrid Future of TV Distribution in 2026: Is Satellite Still Sexy, Relevant or Just Necessary?, where she underlined the continued importance of reliable satellite distribution across parts of Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in markets where broadband infrastructure remains uneven. Hurmson also plays a central role in Antenna Studios' international content strategy, supporting the company's growing distribution activities across Europe and beyond, including recent agreements with Netflix, RTL Croatia, bTV Bulgaria and Cellcom Israel.
