CEENetflix to launch ad-supported plan in Poland in March
Netflix will launch its ad-supported subscription plan in Poland on March 1, 2027, Amy Reinhard, Netflix’s President of Advertising, has announced. Details of the plan, including pricing, will be revealed closer to the launch date.
The ad-supported tier offers a lower-priced Netflix subscription in which viewing is interrupted by short advertising breaks. “[This] gives our subscribers in Poland additional choice and flexibility to use Netflix on the plan that suits them best, while giving advertisers and brands the opportunity to reach our viewers,” Netflix said. The company added that, based on four years of experience with its advertising business, it is bringing targeting solutions, ad formats and measurement tools powered by its proprietary Netflix Ads Suite to new markets. Netflix said its ad-supported plan now reaches more than 250 million monthly viewers worldwide, with more than 80% of ad-tier subscribers actively using the service each week. The company reported that advertising revenue increased more than 2.5 times year on year in 2025 to over $1.5 billion. Netflix expects advertising revenue to roughly double to around $3 billion in 2026. The company currently works with more than 4.000 advertisers, up 70% year on year. “2027 is an important moment for Netflix as we bring ads to 15 new countries, including nine in Europe,” Reinhard said. She added that the expansion of the ad-supported tier across EMEA would create more opportunities to work with global and local advertisers while giving subscribers more ways to access Netflix content.
