Zelensky supports launch of Belarusian TV channel in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has backed the idea to launch a Belarusian TV channel in Ukraine. The head of state made the relevant statement during the plenary session of the 2nd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine, BelTA has learned.
Volodymyr Zelensky said: “We support the emergence of Belarusian channels in Ukraine.” Ukrainian TV channels are broadcast in Belarus as of this year. The Ukrainian leader believes it is important to expand cooperation in this sphere. “It seems like a very good idea to me,” he said. More recently, it was announced that Kvartal TV and Bolt would also be distributed in Belarus. According to Volodymyr Zelensky, it is necessary to continue developing cultural and informational ties. In this context he mentioned the successful organization of Ukrainian Culture Days in Belarus, which took place in Minsk, in Aleksandria, and Gomel in 2018. In turn, Ukraine is supposed to host Belarusian Culture Days. RELATED
