Project Cupid set for Polish remake
TVN Discovery Poland has commissioned a first series of the diversity dating format Project Cupid. The format is currently in production and is scheduled for a 2022 launch.
Project Cupid, which helps people with a mental challenge find love, scored both strong ratings and positive press in Belgium on VTM, which has commissioned a second series. John de Mol’s Talpa Network has since also ordered a local Dutch series, to air later this year on SBS6, distributor Be-Entertainment reports. The format sees two hosts open a temporary dating agency to assist unique daters in finding their perfect match. A special first date is designed to make them feel at ease and help them shine. Over the course of the following episodes the viewer finds out if the daters have become actual couples. Project Cupid was developed and produced by Roses are Blue, the creators behind the successful diversity series Down the Road which was also adapted by TVN Discovery for the TTV channel which will most likely also air Project Cupid.
