HBO Max shoots Czech travel docu
Ahead of its launch in the Czech Republic next year, HBO Max announced the greenlight and start of shooting for Czech It Out! (original title: Spolu & Hladoví), a new Max Original eight-part travel docu-series, which not only takes viewers on a gastronomic tour of the Czech Republic, but also explores the relationship between a father and his teenage daughter.
In Czech It Out! actor and foodie celebrity Lukáš Hejlík and his daughter Klára Hejlíková share a passion for food and travelling. Throughout the series they will explore the architecture, foodie scene and unusual places to stay in the Czech Republic. Viewers will be accompanying them on their exploration of the Czech cultural scene, but also on their father and daughter journey, as they connect with each other over shared interests. The director of Max Original series Czech It Out! is Matěj Chlupáček, winner of a Czech Lion Award, who has previously worked with HBO Europe on the second season of the Czech adaptation of In Treatment, alongside the director Petr Zelenka. Tereza Polachová, producer for HBO Max, said: “Our goal was not only to show interesting places to eat and drink in Bohemia and Moravia. Czech it out! aims to show how to spend quality time in the country even if time is limited. We hope that Czech it out! will serve as a guide not only for parents, but also for their children in this hectic time which is so challenging for interpersonal relationships” Hanka Kastelicová and Tereza Polachová are the producers for HBO Max. Maja Hamplová is the producer for Barletta, who are providing Production Services on the series. RELATED
