Russian Megogo attacked by hackers
One of the largest online movie theaters Megogo reported technical problems in Russia due to a hacker attack, the section with the broadcast of TV channels did not work, RBC reports with reference to the company.
“Last night we had a serious technical problem caused by an incredible DDoS attack on our media service. The TV section is currently unavailable due to unforeseen technical difficulties with online broadcasts of TV channels in Russia. All our specialists are already engaged in restoring access to the air. All films are in full access,” the company said. DDoS attacks on the websites of companies in Russia began after Vladimir Putin announced on February 24 the start of an operation in Ukraine. Attackers send a large number of requests to the site, which exceeds the network bandwidth and gets the site blocked. In particular, the Roscosmos state corporation reported on February 26 about a DDoS attack from abroad. The company said that specialists are working on eliminating its consequences, and the loading time of the site pages has been increased. The Russian Railways (RZD) company also spoke about regular DDoS attacks on February 26. Russian Railways warned of possible failures in the ticketing system, but said that the company's mobile application is working properly. RELATED
