Docu series Ukraine on Fire 2 streams online
Ukrainian filmmakers are creating a documentary series about Russia's invasion of Ukraine - Ukraine on Fire 2. The producers of the project ask not to name themselves for security reasons. They also do not mention the authors.
The creative group positions the series as a "cinematographic factual document of the heroism of Ukrainians, violations of human rights and international humanitarian law." According to them, this is a cinematic continuation of Oleksandr Dovzhenko's film story Ukraine on Fire (1943, 1962). The plot is based on the events of the Russian-Ukrainian war, starting from February 24, 2022, when the Russian invasion began. In the format of social networks, 9/16, viewers view fragments of the chronicle of the shelling of Starobilsk, attempts by civilians to stop the movement of Russian military equipment, the actions of Russian saboteurs in cities and other tragic and dramatic events of the war. The series is made on the basis of videos recorded on handheld devices by eyewitnesses. Such streams are often published on social networks. "Unlike a simple video, an episode of a film series has drama, sound and music, editing, sometimes different shots of the same event, color, so it is a complete stand-alone film. Often one event is represented by video footage of several eyewitnesses," the press release of the creative group said. One episode of the series lasts one minute. So far, the creative team has produced three episodes of the series available at https://www.facebook.com/UkraineOnFire2 RELATED
