Free entry offered to NEM Contest 2023
NEM Contest is coming back to the third edition of NEM Zagreb, the organizers announced. World-renowned experts and decision-makers as jury members will carefully examine, evaluate, and give feedback to every submitted project. Three contest finalists from each category will have the opportunity to present their ideas during live pitching, a chance to win the 5000 euro prize awarded to the winners of each category and engage in fully funded trips to similar events in Europe as part of market exchange program with the purpose of further promotion and/or sale of their project.
Authors from CEE countries are offered free entry until September 19 after which the price for participation will be 100 euros until final submission deadline on October 19. Projects can be submitted in four categories: Scripted series in all genres: drama, thriller, crime, fantasy, SF, comedy etc.; Scripted feature-length film (primarily for a streaming audience) in all genres: drama, thriller, romance, crime, fantasy, SF, comedy etc.; Documentary (non-scripted series)/Feature-length documentary film; Non-scripted entertainment format NEM Zagreb is focused on TV content creation in the low production capacity countries of the CEE region and co-production between low and high-production capacity countries. Between December 6 and 8 at the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel, the event will again focus on the creative side of the TV industry in Central and Eastern Europe – not only when it comes to TV series but also film. The main objective is to educate, connect, produce, co-produce and promote professionals, companies, and projects, content acquisitions within and outside the CEE, as well as investments by European or global streamers into CEE original content.
