United Media, the leading media company in Southeast Europe, announced the appointment of Darko Mladenović as Chief Information Security Officer.

This move represents a significant step forward in United Media’s commitment to ensuring top-tier security across all of its operations and products.

Mladenović will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive enterprise-wide information security program, covering cyber risk management, threat intelligence, incident response, and vulnerability management.

Mladenović has extensive knowledge in cybersecurity. In his prior roles, he was a Cyber Security Engineer at United Group and a Core Network Engineer at Akton. He led the establishment of in-house Security Operations Center (SOC) operations and served as the primary engineer in the implementation of important security products such as Splunk SIEM, Darktrace NDR, and Crowdstrike XDR.

Reporting directly to the Technical Director Srećko Husnjak, Mladenović will provide system-wide leadership and oversight of information technology security processes, policies, procedures, practices, and services for United Media.
