Nominations announced for Heart of Europe Awards
Polish Television (TVP) has unveiled the nominees for the 4th Heart of Europe International TV Festival, set to take place in Warsaw from September 16-19, 2024. The shortlisted projects were selected from entries submitted by 12 CEE broadcasters. The selection process was overseen by six international jury groups made up of TV industry experts from public service media organizations across Central and Eastern Europe.
After a preselection process, the judges have identified 30 productions that will compete for this year’s Heart of Europe Awards. Each jury will now select winners in six categories: Fiction Film, Fiction Series, Documentary, Short Documentary, Children and Youth, Digital and Entertainment. The results will be announced during the Heart of Europe International TV Festival Awards Gala, which will take place on September 18, 2024, in Warsaw. The nominees: Children And Youth: Bookteaser Migrations (RTS, Serbia); Collider (Suspilne, Ukraine); Film for Aliens (TVP, Poland); The Forest Five. The Longest Throw (STVR, Slovakia); Vicky The Sleepy-Bye Owl (ČT, Czech Republic). Digital And Entertainment: ARTillery (Suspilne, Ukraine); Delta (MTVA, Hungary); Game Story (ČT, Czech Republic); Processes (TVP, Poland); Rescue Them All (ČT, Czech Republic). Documentary: Fledglings (TVP, Poland), Isolation (Suspilne, Ukraine); Queue to Say Goodbye (Suspilne, Ukraine); The Case of Bohumil Modrý (ČT, Czech Republic); We, The Citizens of the Protectorate (ČT, Czech Republic). Short Documentary: Dakar Sistaz (ČT, Czech Republic); Maple. To Identify a War Criminal (Suspilne, Ukraine); My Crimea (Suspilne, Ukraine); Runcis (LTV, Latvia); The War Has Changed Me This Way (Suspilne, Ukraine). Fiction Film: Into the Darkness (ČT, Czech Republic); Loonies (TVP, Poland); The Green Ink (TVP, Poland); The Hammer of the Village (MTVA, Hungary); The Saint (ČT, Czech Republic).
