Two men were detained at the Haskovo Regional Office after a report of an attack on a bTV reporter crew was filed. They are 34 and 65 years old and are in custody to clarify their complicity in the case, bTV reported on Sunday.

Earlier that day, a TV crew was attacked after arriving to cover the voting in Haskovo. The operator Petar Kartulev was hit by people who live in one of the Roma neighborhoods in the city, whose sections are indicated as risky (in terms of buying voters).

After a 112 call was made and the police arrived, things calmed down, and the most aggressive men had already left. The attack was in no way caused by the team. It is not known what irritated the people to lead to the aggression, bTV clarified.
