NTV to present flagship projects at NATPE Miami Virtual
NTV Russia will present its latest hits on NATPE Miami Virtual, one of the largest global TV content forum.
Each year the conference gathers the leading media industry professionals shaping the development strategy of the sector and presenting their new projects to the world. NTV will showcase more than 150 projects: scripted and non-scripted formats, documentaries and ready-made series including the hit show Secret for a Million, and period crime series Noble Detective and Murderous Fervor. One of the key projects that NTV will present at NATPE Miami is Secret for a Million, which has repeatedly become the leader of its slot, the best broadcast event and the highest rated weekend program on Russian television (source: Mediascope). In addition to the great TV ratings, the show is also an Internet hit: ‘Secret for a Million’ already has more than 200 million views on the channel's website and YouTube. In 2020, Secret for a Million was shortlisted for the Content Innovation Awards 2020 in two categories - Entertainment Format of the Year and Infotainment Program of the Year. At the same year, the Azerbaijani ARB TV channel acquired the rights to the format: an adapted version aired on ARB TV under the name Onun sirri (His/Her Secret). The highlighted period crime series Noble Detective and Murderous Fervor are not yet aired in Russia, but already won the attention of leading distributors. In 2020, the Japanese NHK Enterprises company acquired the rights to the Noble Detective to broadcast it on AXN Mystery channel. The channel is in negotiations with other major market players regarding the rights for the series. 2021 is the first year NTV takes part in NATPE Miami, but the Channel is expanding rapidly at American markets and closed several large deals. In 2018, the The Road to Calvary TV series joined the ranks of the Netflix library becoming the first commercial deal of a Russian TV channel with one of the world's largest streaming services. NTV series are also available to Amazon Prime Video subscribers. In 2020, Olympusat — an established leader in the Hispanic television and media space, owner of Spanish and English language premium television networks in the United States — has acquired six NTV’s series and ten documentaries.
