Paprika Studios celebrates its 15th anniversary
Last week, the largest television program producer in Central and Eastern Europe celebrated its 15 years of existence with a birthday bash in Budapest, attended by nearly 150 local and international media and television professionals.
The Budapest-based company was founded in 2007 by Péter Marschall as Paprika Latino and is currently a member of the Swedish-owned Viaplay Group (formerly known as the Nordic Entertainment Group). With offices in nine European countries, the company has produced nearly 50 shows and more than 400 hours of entertainment content for 14 television companies in 10 countries – only in the last year. Paprika Studios’ business began with successful reality shows. Today, they have expanded to producing fiction series as well. Some of the extremely successful and popular formats associated with the company are The X Factor, Love Island, Big Brother, Telenovela, Little Chef, Nation Recipe, Fish on the Cake, The Voice, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, Your Face Sounds Familiar, Survivor, Dancing with the Stars, Glorious Girls, Tiger Daddy, Land of the Brave, and The Teacher. “Paprika Studios is a Hungarian success story that has gone global. I’m extremely proud to have been a part of it, and am also grateful to the founder, Peter Marschall, whose commitment and vision marked the path we are still taking. I would like to thank our partners in Hungary and internationally, our customers, and my colleagues – all of whom are committed to Paprika Studios' success,” said Ákos Erdős, CEO of the Paprika Studios Group, at the anniversary celebration.
